IF ambition, enthusiasm and drive can bring success, then the new Suffolk Photo Studio, which photographer Peter Dive has just opened in Sudbury, has to be a winner.
The studio covers more than 3,300 sq ft, making it the largest in East Anglia and Peter has equipped it with more than 20 stage settings and backdrops to ensure taking the very best photos possible, for every client and every situation.
Five years ago photography was Peter’s hobby, but having taken photographs to create very successful portfolios for several would-be models, he decided to make it his career, one he is now dedicated to. It is this drive and dedication which had led to the opening of Suffolk Photo Studio.
A great deal of thought and expense has gone in to the design of the studio and interest from individuals and businesses is already growing.
The studio, based at Unit 5 on the Bulmer Industrial Estate, has a clothes boutique, beauty room with nail bar and spray tan booth, which will also be open to the public when not in use for the studio, also office/conference rooms and a whole new studio around 1,000 sq ft with another infinity curve and access for cars to drive straight into the studio. This will also be used for larger commercial projects or objects and very large group shots.
Family photographs in a living room setting, individual portraits against a coloured backdrop, there are even graffiti wall backdrops and a delightful kiddies’ corner!
Peter takes an innovative approach to wedding photography, for while he goes out to take pictures on the day, he will then invite the main wedding party back to the studio at a later date and set up backdrops to ensure ‘picture perfect’ results.
He will continue to create photographic portfolios for those setting out on a modelling career, but the essential element of Suffolk Photo Studio is that the pictures are taken in a very safe environment, with CCTV cameras in place, make up artists on hand and a dresser to help when necessary.
Peter is very aware that choosing photographs is not something to be rushed and so, at the end of a session, customers are given a standard size picture along with a CD of the rest, giving them the opportunity to go through and choose the best pictures at their leisure. Once the decision is made it can be ordered to any size, to be printed on canvas, etc.
Peter and his fellow photographers will also work out on location, with backdrops and other equipment designed to be packed up and easily transported to the site.
Peter sees the development of this vast studio as ongoing and other photographers are showing an interest in renting there.
With the festive season rapidly approaching, photographs can make very acceptable, personal gifts, and Peter is planning great introductory offers at the studio, to find out more call Suffolk Photo Studio on 01787 468680.
