There are so many males and females that would like to be and aspire to be models. Whether its catwalk, fashion or local papers. In order to actual start to get paid work you will normally have to attend casting calls. Very few make it to the next level, very often the reason for this is because they don’t know how to attend castings. A casting call is the one time, the one shot, the first impression you get to impress a casting agent, ready to get booked for a gig.
Basic tips but, make sure your groomed. This may seem silly but its incredible how many “models” don’t drink enough water, keep their nails in good order, have roots or even don’t wash their hair and shave. Remember at a modeling call the majority of people there will be models, they will all be attractive and so you need to stand out. Gentlemen if you’re looking to model either be clean shaven or trimmed and even and neat.
Wear clothing that flatters you, compliment your shape and not the ones you like in a shop or someone else. Either use a stylist to select a few outfits for you and use the same style and different colors or find an honest friend. Don’t be fooled by thinking because you’re a model or your slim you can wear anything.
Keep your day simple, don’t get pressured and this maybe odd, turn up on time. Keep your makeup, hair and clothing simple and basic. DONT OVER DO any of these. You want to stand out for the right reasons not just a lasting memory of an accident.
Be confident, not in your face just relaxed and ready to work. If you want to be a model then show it. Make sure your portfolio is aimed at the job your trying to win.
