Make-up is all about enhancing the best of you, not disguising yourself. Natural make-up allows you to show off your natural beauty while still helping to conceal any flaws or blemishes without anyone besides you knowing that you are wearing any make-up at all.
The key to natural make-up is knowing your correct colour matches. When buying make-up products test them on the back of your hand, getting the correct shade of foundation is very important.
Firstly, focus on the base of your make-up, apply a thin layer of foundation. Nothing is worse than piling it on in large amounts, it will defeat the object of seeming natural as it will be overly obvious to everyone that you are in fact wearing make-up. Add a decent concealer to any blemishes and if you have dark patches under your eyes then add some concealer to lighten those circles, alternatively, if you have bags under your eyes then instead of applying concealer to the bags themselves, apply the concealer to the crease underneath it. Applying concealer to the bags will make them more pronounced, if you add it to the crease beneath it will bring lessen their appearance. Use just a subtle blusher on the cheekbones to give yourself a healthy glow, alternatively you can use a subtle bronzer.
Next choose an eyebrow pencil that matches your natural brow colour and subtly pencil them in, just to enhance their definition. Use a shadow that matches your skin tone and apply to the entire lid and up to the brows, make sure that it isn’t applied too thickly as it will leave a powdery look that you want to avoid. Although the shadow seems invisible and adds no real colour, it can help to brighten up your eyes. Apply your mascara. If you absolutely can’t live without eyeliner then just pencil in a small soft line on the outer half of your upper lash line with a slight flick at the outer corner of the eye, you can pencil in another soft line on the outer third of your lower lash line and join it to the other, use a small eye shadow brush to soften the lines.
Finally, you want to keep your lips natural as well, so to achieve this just use a nice lip gloss to add a slight sheen, if you wish to use a tinted gloss then steer away from anything too bright, just choose a very subtle tint to keep it less obvious.
