This course will teach you the basics which will help to get you feeling confident working in a studio environment.
Students attending our Studio Lighting Course will be required to have some basic
photography skills already including an understanding of shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings, however do not necessarily need experience of shooting in a studio. It may be worth having a refresher session with us if you feel you need to touch up on these areas or touch up on your camera knowledge before enrolling on our studio lighting course. Please contact us for more details.
Even the most competent of photographers can struggle with studio lighting and mastering the techniques to capture the moment in the studio without it looking fake or strained. This photography course is taught in the Suffolk Photo Studio itself where you can learn about light metering, lighting camera settings and composition of images.

There can be a model present for the day of the course allowing you to practice capturing the perfect shots and experiment with different lighting. If required we can provide you with a model release form (free of charge) so you can use any photographs taken during the days tutorial for your portfolio or to practice altering on Photoshop.
